S Ground Station
Experience the standard in industrial-grade S-Band Ground Stations. Fully integrated, turnkey solutions designed for total autonomy. Our "Plug & Play" architecture simplifies deployment, providing a professional, vertically integrated gateway to your satellite. From Arctic chills to desert heat, rely on our manufactured-to-last technology for seamless, high-performance communication.

Architecture built for flexibility
When scaling your Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite constellation, reliable and high-speed data downlink is non-negotiable. The Groundcom S-Band Station is engineered to deliver exactly that.
Designed for both robust TT&C and mission-critical payload data retrieval, our S-Band system offers a perfect balance of performance and affordability. What sets it apart is its true autonomy.
Precision Tracking. Pure Performance.
Our stations deliver high-performance S-Band TT&C with automatic tracking and polarization switching. Our software-defined architecture supports GMSK, QPSK, and FSK modulations with optional DVB-S2 capabilities. Featuring 2.4m–4.5m apertures and a integrated signal processing chain, these stations provide a fully autonomous, API-driven gateway for mission-critical satellite operations.

Frequent questions
We are a university/startup with our first satellite—is S-Band too complex for us?
While S-Band (2.2-2.3GHz) increases complexity over UHF/VHF, our station is designed to minimize your technical risk. We provide a fully integrated "Plug & Play" system, including the signal processing chain, so your team can focus on the mission instead of building ground segment hardware from scratch.
Do we actually need to OWN a station, or can we use your network?
You have the choice. If you have a strategic need for total control and 24/7 availability, buying a station is best. However, if you want to avoid maintenance and high upfront costs, you can use our Shared Ground Station Network—getting the same professional S-Band performance without the hassle of ownership.
Can the station work with our existing "specific" data processing setup?
Yes. While we provide a standard modem for typical satellite radios, we understand mature players often have custom requirements. Our system is flexible; we can provide raw IQ data directly to your external processing, ensuring our hardware fits your mission-specific signal chain.
How "autonomous" is the tracking and configuration?
The station is truly "Turn on and Use." It features automatic satellite tracking based on public or custom TLEs and an automatic "RF Frontend setup." This includes polarization switching and frequency Doppler correction, so the hardware adjusts itself for every pass without manual intervention.
We already have "some" hardware—can Groundcom help us complete it?
Absolutely. For customers with compatible existing components, we can supply the "Main Box" and control software separately. This allows you to upgrade to a professional-grade ground station using pieces you already own, reducing costs while increasing reliability.

If You've Made It This Far, the Answer Is Yes
You're operating or planning a CubeSat or small satellite mission and you need ground infrastructure that won't become a multi-month project. The Groundcom ground stations are designed for exactly this profile.
